The hour is late; and we alack! are on a sea,
Where, in distraction sore, we seek the unseen shore.
Night; in the cloud swept sky no star to steer us by;
Yet with God’s grace we sail: His aid shall us avail.

Dar daryâ-î karâneh-`ash nâ-peydâ.
Keshty-o shab-o qamâm-o mâ mi-rânîm,
Dar bahr-é khûdâ be-fazl-o tofiq-é khûdâ.
