O MIND, be gone!
Here is not mindful anyone;
Though thou be shrunken as a hair,
For thee no room is there.
Behold the day!
Before the sun’s resplendent ray
No candle that did ever flame
But hangs its head in shame.
Èy ‘aql bûrô ke ‘âqel înjâ nîst,
Ghar môy shavî môy-e tô râ ghûnjâ nîst.
Rôz âmad -ô- rôz har cherâgî ke fûrôkht,
Dar shû’leh-e âftab jûz rûsvâ nîst.
